We are NetPop Research LLC (“NetPop,” “we” “our”), a full-service market research firm that specializes in the use and perceptions of web-based products and services, including eCommerce, social media, online video, mobile applications and B2B online advertising platforms. NetPop owns and maintains www.netpop.com, www.netpopsmb.com and www.publisherroundtable.com, (each individually, a “Site”, collectively the “Sites”).
We are committed to the privacy of the data you (“you” or “user”) share with us on the Sites. This Privacy Statement applies to all information that you provide (collectively “Your Information”) on the Sites; how we use, share and retain Your Information, as well as the choices you have for updating or removing Your Information. This is our corporate website where we provide information about the market research services we provide to help our clients better understand the global competitive landscape and the factors that shape consumer preference.
We work with many leading internet companies (“Partners”) to perform email-initiated online surveys about small business owners’ marketing and business strategies. As a small business owner who has a relationship with our Partner or Partners, you may have received an invitation to join this Site based upon your completing such a survey. We built www.netpopsmb.com to provide small business owners like you with analysis and insight into the results of those surveys and your marketing and business strategies in comparison to similar small businesses. Additional services of the Site include an opportunity for the collective small business community to share and grow its marketing efficiencies through collective intelligence via discussion boards, online surveys and NetPop-created market research materials (“Materials”). By using this Site, you agree that we will share Your Information with any Partners who commissioned us to perform the e-mail initiated online surveys.
This site is presented in collaboration with our Partner, VigLink, Inc. (“VigLink”).You might have been invited to join this Site because you are an online publishing professional who responded to an online survey. This Site provides you with online publishing industry benchmarks and market insight data, discussion boards, online surveys and NetPop-created Materials. We will share Your Information from this Site with VigLink.

- This policy does not cover the data that is entered via an email-initiated online survey not associated with www.netpopsmb.com orwww.publisherroundtable.com. - This policy does not apply to the data handling practices of any Partner and only describes the data handling practices of NetPop.

Who Do We Share Your Information With?
When you provide any of the Sites with Your Information, we will share Your Information with a Partner or Partners in ways that may identify you or your organization, as well as in aggregated reports, that do not identify you or your organization. You may opt-out of this sharing by deleting your account as described below . Netpop may be subject to liability in cases of onward transfer to third parties that do not conform with this policy.
We do not share or sell Your Information with any other party not associated with the Sites. We may, however, share information under the following circumstances:
- If we receive your consent;
- If it is necessary for a third party provider to perform tasks on our behalf. These service providers are obligated by contract to safeguard any PII they receive from us and to only use it to perform services on our behalf
- If we believe doing so is, in our sole discretion, required to comply with valid legal process or a National Security request. What Information Do We Collect?
We Collect Log Data About Your Visit. When you visit a Site, we collect industry standard log data, for example: the type of browser and operating system you are using, the address of the external or internal page that referred you, your IP address and pages on the site that you visit in association with your IP address. We process and use this information to diagnose issues with the site. We retain it for one year.
We Collect Account Information
To create an account on a Site, you must provide a username and password in combination with your email address. When you decide on a username, consider that usernames are public to other members and provide attribution for any comments you make in a discussion forum.
We Log Your Account Activity
When you are logged into your account, we record all activities that you perform on a Site and associate them with your account. We maintain this log indefinitely and use it to calculate and publish aggregate statistics that we believe members are interested in viewing. For example, we may track and publish the total number of users who have viewed a particular web page. We publish this data in aggregate form only, and do not publicly tie it to you or Your Information.
We Collect Information That You Provide In Response To Questionnaires on a Site
We provide opportunities to contribute to a body of data that will inform your business marketing strategy as you decide what to do next. By offering questionnaires on the Sites, NetPop and its Partners enable small businesses to benefit from market research that has previously been out-of-reach for small businesses. When we provide this market research information publicly on the Site, it is in aggregate form; we do not identify you or your organization. We do associate the answers you provide with your account and provide this data to Partners so that they can provide you with direct feedback, information or services that are relevant to your specified interests.
The Discussion Forum Is a Public Space. We collect any data you provide to a discussion forum (“Content”) and associate it with your account. When you use the discussion forum to communicate with other users, you are in a public forum. It is the nature of the internet that while the Site is only accessible to account owners, anything you post can be copied and redistributed by other users.
We Appreciate Your Suggestions And Will Retain Them For Future Use. If you use the form we provide to suggest a new topic for the Site, or send us a suggestion or feedback via email or postal mail, we will retain your suggestion for as long as there is a business purpose. We may use your suggestion at our discretion. You agree that you make any suggestions, comments or submissions without any expectation of remuneration or attribution from us.
We Will Collect Your Information When You Contact Us. If you use the form on www.netpop.com to request additional information, we will collect your contact information and use it to accommodate your request.
How Else Do We Use Your Information?
We Provide Aggregated Reports. We use Your Information to provide the services available on the Sites. Specifically, we use Your Information, aggregated with other users’ information, to provide market research insights and analysis. Your Information is never associated with your email address or other data that can identify you or your organization.
We Communicate With You. We will use your email address to deliver Site-related announcements. Examples include: email verification during registration, requests for password reset, important security or server maintenance updates, or statement changes. These service-related announcements are considered a fundamental part of our service, and members cannot opt-out of these email announcements.
We market you New Services You May Be Interested In: We will also communicate with you to improve your experience as a member of the Site. We will offer you the ability to sign up for optional email communications that will introduce new services that we think you will be interested in, like newsletters or new interviews. These communications are enhancements to our service and are entirely optional.
